What happens to your payments if you change or cancel a trip. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
Because we pay airlines, hotels and partners on your behalf, cancellation charges follow what those suppliers charge us, plus a service fee. Your written quote lists the exact terms for your trip.
Cancellations must be sent in writing by email. The date we receive it counts. As a guide:
| Time before departure | Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 60 days | Deposit retained, plus any non-refundable supplier costs |
| 30 to 60 days | 25% of trip cost, or supplier charges if higher |
| 15 to 29 days | 50% of trip cost, or supplier charges if higher |
| Under 15 days or no-show | 100% of trip cost |
Airline tickets, visa fees, travel insurance and some hotel or event bookings can be non-refundable from the day they are issued.
Name, date or hotel changes depend on availability and supplier rules. Supplier change fees and any fare difference apply, plus a service fee stated in your quote.
If we cancel because a trip cannot run, you can choose an alternative of similar value or a refund of what you paid for the cancelled services.
For weather, strikes, closures or government action, we will press suppliers for credits or refunds and pass on whatever we recover.
We strongly recommend cover that includes trip cancellation and medical care. We can arrange it for you.
